Nongnah is located  30 km to the South-West of Mawkyrwat and is considered to be one of the most beautiful villages of the area. From this plateau one gets a bird’s eye view of the surrounding hills and valleys, besides the plain and rivers of Bangladesh and the Himalayas. When one looks from a distance it looks like a bed which legends say is the bed of the legendary greens. On this plateau there is a cave, the longest of all caves found in Khasi Hills. A natural swimming pool on hillslope at the Nongnah Village in South West Khasi hills in Meghalaya. Located on a hilltop, the viewpoint offers a sprawling view of the entire valley and the nearby surroundings.

Nongjrong is one of the less explored places of Meghalaya where travelers rarely visit. You will certainly be amazed by the spectacular view of the landscape of Nongjrong. It is a sunrise point where during early sunrise the valley of Nongjrong is covered with  clouds. The river Umngot flows below the valley and the lush greenery over the mountains make this place a must visit for people traveling to Meghalaya. At the base of the hillock, you will be able to see the clouds as a vast spread of a white sea floating endlessly over the beautiful green hills and the valley. At the horizon, especially, it will be a sight to behold. The scenic beauty of Nonjrong is so mesmerizing, making you forget all your worries for a while and giving you a rejuvenating experience.


Mawphanlur is a beautiful and lesser-known destination in the West Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya, India. Mawlangkhar The hillocks of Mawlangkhar, West Khasi Hills and its adjoining places the green undulating hills are one of lesser known tourists attraction in Meghalaya ,even before it was turned into a tourist spot, people would often stop and soak in the majesty of the place. The tourists visiting the hills to catch a glimpse of the scenic beauty have to pay an entry fee. A trip to Mawlangkhar hillocks will not be a disappointment.

Shnongpedeng is an adventure destination with several activities being hosted in the vicinity there. Serving as a border for India from Bangladesh, the Umngot river is one of the main attractions and source of the water activities that are held there.
