Tour Plan

Tour begins with your arrival at the Airport / Railway Station.

  •  Drive to Shillong, the Capital City of Meghalaya and en route, stop at the famous Umiam Lake.
  •  Enjoy the beautiful and picturesque view of the lake and relish your eyes.
  •  On arrival at Shillong, check in to the hotel and ease up.
  • Later visit the Elephant falls which is a three-step waterfall.
  • Visit Shillong peak to view the beautiful city and an amazing sunset.
  • Overnight stay in Shillong

After an appetizing breakfast,  will travel to Cherapunjee and begin sightseeing major attractions of Cherrapunji.

  • Visit Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls, Mawsmai Falls.
  • Later move towards the outskirts of Cherrapunji.
  •  Visit Dainthlen Falls which is approximately 10kms from Cherrapunji
  • Move to Wei Sawdong Falls which is 1km away from Dainthlen Falls.
  • Explore Mawsmai Cave, a limestone cave with impressive stalactites and stalagmites.
  •  Overnight stay.
  • After early breakfast, drive to Tyrna village, which is starting point of the trek.
  • It involves over 3000+ steps of trekking through sacred groves of trees and narrow suspended bridges over rivers.
  • The path passes by a number of houses with well-maintained bush fences.
  • You will experience occasional ascents and descents on the forest trail till you reach the gates of Nongriat.
    Reach the double-decker living root bridges and enjoy a dip in the pool under the supervision of expert.
  • After spending some time at the bridge, move further ahead to the rainbow falls.
  • On finally reaching the falls, one can feel the mist from the falls as they come close to it.
  •  As the name goes by one can witness the rainbow on the falls if the weather is good.
  • Trek back to Tyrna and drive to the hotel in Cherrapunji.
  • Spend the evening in peace to get rid from tiredness.

  • Early morning post breakfast drive to Mawlynnong and explore.
  • Mawlynnong, known as "Asia's Cleanest Village" (about 2 hours).
  • Explore the village, its unique living root bridges, and bamboo treehouses.
  • Overnight stay in a homestay in Mawlynnong to experience local hospitality.

 

In the morning, after breakfast travel to Dawki & Shnongpdeng , located in the magnificent Jaintia Hill, Umngot River passes by the village which makes it a attractive place to visit .Relax  Overnight stay .
