  1. Traditional Dance and Music: Various Naga tribes perform traditional dances and music in their colorful and distinctive traditional attire. These performances are a highlight of the festival.
  2. Naga Morungs: Visit the Naga morungs (traditional tribal huts) to learn about the customs, traditions, and lifestyles of various Naga tribes.
  3. Go on a trek : The Dzukou Valley trek is one of the best short treks in the Northeast . The trekking point is about 20 k.m. from Kohima city and 10 km from the Kisama Heritage village ; Hornbill Festival venue .
  4. Arts and Crafts: The festival features a display of Naga arts and crafts, including wood carvings, handwoven textiles, jewelry, and other handmade items.
  5. Food Stalls: Visitors can enjoy Naga cuisine, which includes a variety of local dishes prepared using indigenous ingredients. Bamboo shoots, smoked meats, and chutneys are some of the specialties.

  •  Dzukou Valley Trek Dzukou Valley, often referred to as the “Valley of Flowers of the Northeast,” is a pristine haven situated at the border of Nagaland and Manipur. Our group embarked on a journey to this tranquil wonderland, and it exceeded our wildest expectations. Floral Extravaganza: Dzukou Valley is renowned for its vibrant and diverse flora. During our trip, we were greeted by a sea of wildflowers in full bloom, painting the landscape with a riot of colors. The sight of blooming lilies, irises, and rhododendrons will stay with you forever. Serene Hiking Trails: Our tour package includes guided hiking expeditions, which took us through lush green meadows, dense forests, and rocky terrains. The serenity of the place, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, is a true breath of fresh air.

 

NOTE :

  • Guidelines for Tent Accommodation:

– Tents are allocated on a sharing basis, with the following capacities: Sharing basis: 2-man, 3-man, 4-man, and family tents. ( 2 men tent occupied/reserved by only 1 person on non sharing basis will cost 2000.00/- per tent )

– Guest accommodation will be adjusted according to bookings, ensuring optimal utilization of tent capacity.

– Please note that tent allocation is subject to availability and may change based on group size and bookings.

  • Pickup and drop services can be arranged from Kohima, Dimapur and Guwahati, subject to the following conditions: Number of persons in the group , Vehicle type & Availability.

-Please note that these vehicle services are on-demand and require prior arrangement.

Tour Plan

On arrival at Dimapur station meet our driver & proceed onward journey to Kisama Heritage Village ,( with pickup & drop option from Kohima/Dimapur).

On arrival check in Campsite and relax, later spend the afternoon/Evening exploring the festival, attend concert at night .

Overnight stay at Kisama Heritage Village

Early Morning have an early breakfast at your accommodation. Later drive from Jakhama to Viswema Village, the starting point for the Dzukou Valley trek.

Begin your trek from Viswema Village to the Dzukou Valley base camp. Reach the base camp in the Late afternoon/ early evening settle into your accommodations.Later you can take a short walk to explore the surroundings near the base camp.

Overnight stay at Dzukou Valley Base Camp

Wake up early to catch the sunrise over Dzukou Valley. Explore Dzukou valley spend the morning exploring the picturesque valley, visit viewpoints, take photos, and enjoy the serene environment later have breakfast at the base camp and begin your trek back via Jakhama/Viswema trekking route .

Once you reach homestay Jakhama get freshen up and start your journey back to Dimapur.
